Solid little kit for high school

I have assembled my kit and run several programs. I have been using Arduinos for years with students in my high school classes. I did rely on the tutorials for assembling the Barnabas Rover. I jumped to writing my own programs just to see how well the kit works. I am impressed.

I like the ease of assembly and that there is no soldering required. In this time of virtual-only learning, I am planning to purchase enough kits to send home with each student. I have been looking for something they can assemble at home without the benefit of a lab with tools. This kit will fill that need.

I plan to supplement the kit with higher-watt resistors (for the ease of reading the stripes), a piezo speaker, and a few LEDs to expand their possibilities. This kit is a nice, cost-effective substitute for the Parallax Boe-Bot that we used in class for many years. In normal times we are using VEX cortex kits in class. Sending that equipment home is not possible.

I would love to provide some follow-up once my students have begun using the kits.
